We have all heard the phrase, “you are what you eat.” This is more true that most people believe. We are vibrant living beings and we need to eat foods that support how great we are! When you eat clean, healthy foods you look better and feel better.
Let’s get a little more in depth. What is healthy eating? Healthy eating is basically eating a well balanced diet. That is it. I believe there are no hard and fast rules. Different people like different things and have different beliefs about eating certain foods. The bottom line is try to eat a variety of foods that are as close to their natural form as possible.
I am not going to tell you how much of a certain food to eat. I believe that is up to you. I am also not going to get into all the science of each food group too in depth. My whole point is to give you the simple facts and get you to start thinking. I hope this site will excite you to try new foods, experiment and find your way on the path of healthy eating!

You can eat a lot more vegetables than pizza for the same amount of calories. The second factor is that you consume more fiber. Fiber makes you feel fuller longer and will help you eat less. Lastly, eating healthy boosts your metabolism which will help you burn more calories all day!
The other benefit is the health benefits. There are many! Eating healthy helps to prevent heart disease, diabetes, cancer, strokes, even Alzheimer’s. The other factor is that it helps to boost your immune system so you can fight off diseases everyday.
When you eat foods that are filled with sugar, bad fats and artificial ingredients you don’t feel or look as good. Not only will you gain weight but you will feel tired and worn out. You may also feel like you get colds or other illnesses easier and age faster.
I think people believe that the only risk of eating junk is the weight gain. They don’t realize that eating foods that are unhealthy actually change the chemistry of your body. Even more so, they are making you sick! If you eat artificial you will be artificial, if you eat healthy you will be healthy!
